pirot

Term used by Carnap in "Introduction to Semantics", 1942, to mean nonsense of the semantic, not syntactic type: pirots karulise elatically. Borrowed from Grice (but he never returned it) to echo Locke´s "very intelligent, rational" parrot in Essay Concerning Human Understanding.
